Overland Limited Wild West Train - Connersville, IN

Great western fun aboard the Wild West Train with The Circle D Rangers. Every 3rd

Saturday in May, July, August, September & October this White Water Valley Train

Excersion takes a Western twist as The Circle D Rangers protect the Metamora bound

train. We only recently learned of this fun adventure in central Indiana. You board

the train in Connersville, IN at 12:01 and ride about 90 minutes to Metamora, an

authentic historic canal town with specialty shops, an old grist mill, carriage rides,

and a horse-drawn canal boat.  The two hour stop passes by rather quickly and

soon it's time to board the train for the return trip back to the Connorsville railroad

station. Bandits rob the train and there's plenty of good old western fun. You're likely

to see Hopalong Cassidy, Marshals, Cowboys, Bandits, and more during this great

monthly event. For more information, visit the White Water Valley Railroad website

at http://www.whitewatervalleyrr.org/excursions/.

Ride for Veteran's Open Show - Swanton, Ohio

Harry Hughes Youth Equestrian Center - located between Whitehouse and Swanton,

Ohio on State Route 64 adjacent to Oak Opening Metroparks. The event is supported

by the Navy Operational Support Center. James Drury will be attending to cheer the

competitors on, to meet with his fans, sell  and autograph DVDs and pictures, and have

his picture taken with his fans.

We have had the pleasure of visiting the Roy Rogers Museum in Branson several times.
Unfortunately this wonderful museum officially closed in December 2009 and all items
were sold at various auctions.

We also enjoyed visiting the Gene Autry Museum in Gene Autry, Oklahoma two years
during their  Annual Film & Music Festival held each September.  While this wonderful
museum still exists and they do have various events that will continue, last year was
the last Film & Music Festival, ending their 18 year September tradition.

Times are changing and the Cowboy Dream is quickly fading but there are still some
wonderful museum and events around the country. There are magnificent collections
just waiting for fans to enjoy them, Many legendary Cowboys from those classic
TV westerns are still meeting and greeting their fans. We encourage you to plan to
attend an upcoming westerns event in your area while you still can.

Follow your Cowboy Dream and see where your journeys can lead you.
